• Do the SunRayz heaters need to be covered?
The SunRayz Ceramic Units are protected against water ingress (IP4). However, it is highly recommended they are installed in a covered outside area to give maximum protection, effectiveness and comfort levels.

• Can I use a traditional light Dimmer switch ?  
No.  The wattage rating of standard dimmer switches is approximately 600W.  The SunRayz units are at higher wattages and draw more current than the traditional dimmer switches can handle.

• can I use a standard thermostat ?  
No.  A standard thermostat sends a contact closure or low DC voltage signal to your furnace to call for heat.  You can, however, use a thermostat designed for use with 115VAC or 230VAC line voltage products such as radiant and baseboard heating.  Please keep in mind to use this style of thermostat only indoors and in well insulated areas.  Mount the thermostat on an opposing wall out of the direct line of the SunRayz comfort heater.  Also see our SunRayz Heat Controller for an alternative to thermostat control.

• Do the heaters have a red glare?  
The SunRayz Ceramic Heaters do not have any glare, which is one of the advantages over standard quartz/halogen bulb unit.

• How much area do they cover?  
For Outdoor Use, based on your outside space, the number of SunRayz Unit(s) will vary.  Please call for your specific situation.

• How long do the SunRayz units last? 
SunRayz Ceramic Heaters are guaranteed for two years from date of purchase. Also, the elements 10,000 hours guaranteed.

• How long does it take to warm to max temp? 
The SunRayz Ceramic Heaters will achieve maximum temperature in approximately 6 minutes.

• How do I know the heater is on?  
There is a red indicator light on the back of the heater when turned on. You will also feel the heat from the ceramic elements.

• How long does it take for the heaters to cool down?  
The Heaters will take approximately 30 minutes to cool down.

• How Do I clean the heaters?  
When they are turned OFF use a soft cloth and warm soapy water.

• Can the SunRayz heaters  be used indoors?  
Yes. They can be used indoors; Garages, Reception Areas, Factories, Schools, Halls, Shop Entrances, Zoos, Sports Facilities and Churches, see more advantages, application and uses.
